Paul McGoran lives in Newport, Rhode Island. In his lives before fiction, he was a Russian language interpreter for the U. S. Navy, a career marketing executive, a management consultant, and a day trader. As a writer in the crime fiction genre, he draws inspiration from masters of the form like Donald Westlake, Lawrence Block, Max Allan Collins and George Pelecanos.

Paul believes the most satisfactory aspect of fiction writing is disappearing into the minds of his characters. This has been known to alarm his friends, relatives, and TSA officials.

Paul’s new novel, The Breastplate of Faith and Love, introduces a series P. I. named Stafford Boyle–and features several characters first met in Made for Murder. A third novel is under way that will take Stafford Boyle back to his old hometown to solve the revenge murder of the bully who terrorized his childhood.
